For height measure from floor to top of shoulder. Please take the time to measure your pet and do not go by the weight only. Your pet must fit into the carrier before the weight is of concern. thank you. Please note sherpa changed the length of size medium carriers to 17" long, in the past the mediums were 18" long some boxes may still say 18" long but carriers in size medium are all 17" long

This is such a cute bag. I love the Sherpa bags. I have the same size in red for my other dog. They love them. Traveling is much easier, and they are approved on most airlines.
